This helps to determine the distribution of TZs. ie. How many went to each country.
-
Please select which bike you are reporting on.
Use separate questionnaires for additional models.
-
Please provide the chassis number of your bike. This helps to determine how many were produced as well as number limits between models.
-
This also helps to determine the number produced and cut-offs between models.
-
This is interesting information that readers like to know.

ENGINE
Please rate the following aspects of the bike's engine:
-
Please rate the ease of starting the bike in general
-
Please rate the ease of getting the bike running well
-
eg. Is there a reason why your bike is/was hard to start?
Why was it easy to tune?
-
How hard was it to do regular servicing and minor work on the motor? Consider removal of components and any disconnecting of cables, wires, tubes, etc.
-
How hard was it to split the cases and do major work in the heart of the motor?
-
How long did the components of the motor last?
-
How often did parts fail?
-
You may wish to clarify your opinion of the motor from a mechanic's perspective.
Is there a reason why for example, it was very hard to start? (Perhaps it had radical porting work done?) etc.
-
Please rate the bike's bottom end performance
-
How well did the bike perform in the mid-range?
-
How well did the bike perform in the top end?
-
You may wish to clarify your opinion of the motor from a rider's perspective.
eg Why did it have a great bottom end power delivery? (Perhaps different exhausts?) etc.
-
Perhaps comments on the clutch, gearbox, ignition, carburetors?
-
CHASSIS
Please rate the following aspects of the bike's chassis and running gear:
-
How well did the bike's chassis perform at high speed?
-
Did it tip in with ease? Stay on line? Wobble? Lose the front end often? etc.
-
Did they have a savage initial bite? Spongy feel? Useless rear brake? etc.
-
-
Did it induce chatter? Lack enough damping? Dive terribly? Feel like it sat too high all the time? etc.
-
Did it induce wandering off line? Lack enough damping? Squat terribly? Feel like it sat too high/low all the time? etc.
-
-
Could you feel it flexing? Did engine mounts crack? etc.
-
Did it compliment slip-streaming particularly well? Did it vibrate on the bike terribly? Was the screen easy to tuck in behind? Did the fairing crack and fall apart? etc.
-
Were the guages easy to read? Did they vibrate terribly? Were the controls positioned well? Was there enough adjustability? Did the controls wear out? Break too easily? etc.
-
Were they too wide for the bike? Too thin? Did they warp after a crash? Split? Easy to balance? etc.
-
From a rider's perspective.
-
From a mechanic's perspective. Was it easy to work on? Was it easy to adjust?
-
Anything you may have forgotten to mention?

THANK YOU!
The information you have provided will be analysed along with all other data received and will be used to make the book as accurate as possible.
Please use a separate Questionnaire for any other TZ250s you have had experience with.
cheers,

Can you help?
Please note: In order to attempt to make the book as complete as is possible we desperately need copies of documents such as:
Port maps
Exhaust dimension diagrams
Parts lists
Owners manuals
Factory Service Bulletins
Spare parts packing lists
Delivery dockets
Brochures
If you can help out in this regard in any way please email the author at: tz350_information@tz350.com with details. (Some items we already have, but vast majority are missing.)
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
